Study finds alpha lipoic acid protects nerve tissue

R-Alpha Lipoic Acid meets the criteria of a complete antioxidant by its ability to quench free radicals, chelate metals, regenerate glutathione andinteract with other antioxidants and regulate genes.

A recent study (Yamada et al., Neurochem Int. 2011) supports the growing evidence that Lipoic Acid has neuroprotective effects in various pathological conditions including brain ischemia and neurodegeneration.
